culinary trip to munich

Standard

me in munich, july 2010i’ll start with a culinary trip to munich, germany.

this is me in one of my favourite places in the world: glockenbachviertel in munich, the bavarian capital where i lived for a couple of years in my twenties.

my alltime favourite places in munich are:

  • aroma kaffeebar
ask my friends. it’s my most favourite place in the world for bfast. it’s a cute little kaffee & shop in one, offers a huge selection of home made food, mueslis, jams, eggs, bagels.. it’s always so hard to chose and so hard not to sit there for hours and hours and just watch the people. have a stroll through the little shop where you an find the most gorgeous kitschy little things for your kitchen and home. aroma, i ❤ you!
  • bar centrale
start a shopping day in munich? go there for a nice prosecco and lovely pasta. also great for coffee this genuine italian place offers you real italian flair – just start talking in italian with the waiters. you won’t regret it!
  • aran
perfect for a little snack during shopping. in the middle of the shopping area ‘5 höfe’ this is the perfect place for a nice big slice of brown bread with homemade spreads. hard to chose! but at least the slice is so big that there is enough space for 3 different spreads ;-)))
  • la fattoria
cute little italian place. the interior is simple, but the food and the service make you want to come again and again and again… little bruschette and digestive on the house. ask for some wine and you get a nice reasonable bottle, you pay as much as you drink!
